Who will be  your teacher?

"Hey! 

My name is Nia (Joania). I'm a passionate French Teacher and Language Coach from Paris.

Languages are my passion. I'm a native French speaker, but I also speak English, Spanish and Lingala. I'm currently learning West African Pidgin !

I've been teaching for 8+ years (not only French) and helped 500+ students to reach their goals.

  • Is it possible to learn a language as an adult?
    Yes, of course! I've learned lingala as an adult in 6 months and I really enjoyed it! Moreover, the majority of my students are adults. I can't wait to share with you the different techniques that I use for my students and myself to learn languages!
  • Is French difficult to learn?
    It depends on your native language. If you already speak English, French isn't that hard: there's a lot of similarities regarding the vocab and the structure. Moreover, there's a lot of free resources, movies and series that you can use to improve your French. I would be very happy to help you find them!
  • I want to improve my speaking. Is it the Speak French Café going to help me speak better French?
    Yes, of course! You can suscribe to our 1-on-1 classes (all levels) to practice your French and learn strategies that will help you speak better French.
  • How long will it take until I get fluent in French?
    No one can determine in advance how long it will take to get fluent in French. The answer to this question depends on 4 main factors: _your current level _your mindset _your learning strategy _your learning pace But there's a good news: each of these factors can be improved!
  • What if I'm a shy/introvert person?
    There's no problem with being an introvert person. Sometimes it can even be a good point: I've noticed that most intoverts are good listeners and an empathetic people and these qualities are very useful if you start learning a language and a new culture. If you feel like your shyness prevents you from speaking, don't worry. I would be happy to offer you a language coaching session (limited spots) to help you overcome this fear. You will be very proud of yourself!
  • Can I have a trial lesson?
    Of course! You can book a Trial lesson here!
  • What are the advantages of learning French online?
    There's a lot of advantages! You can learn anytime, anywhere. You can learn with a native teacher from Paris. Classes are fun and interactive. Plus, it's safer: you have no physical contact which is a good point during this Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Which platform do you use for classes?
    Zoom. It's really effective, you can create a free account and get access to the video recordings of the classes if needed. But it you're not familiar with it, don't worry, I will help you get started!
  • Can I start for free?
    Yes of course! If you are interested in taking one-on-one classes with me, you can book a free call (limited spots)!
  • Can I cancel anytime?
    Yes, of course! Our membership plans are subscriptions with automatic renewals, so if you want to cancel, you just need to send an e-mail at speakfrenchcafe@gmail.com. Your subscription will end at the end of the current month.
  • Is the payment secure?
    Yes, it is. We use Stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
